Three Wearable Spring 16 Makeup Trends

Spring is still a bit far off but it doesn't mean we can't start perfecting these trending looks, and keeping our eyes peeled for these shades and tones.

New York Fashion Week started with this stunning and totally wearable look at Nicholas K. Makeup Artist Sarah Lucero (Stila’s Director of Creative Artistry) and her team created this heavenly look with warm metallic coppers and golds that made eyes pop! The inner eye rims were lined with black kohl then smoked out at lash line with coffee brown. The skin was a lovely creamy matte finished with a soft warm-toned lip.

This spicy-toned brown lip from artist Lynsey Alexander at Kenzo in Paris was gorgeous. The shade, nick-named “desert sand”, was hand mixed from MAC’s Lipmix in yellow, mid-tone brown, orange and red. I can only hope MAC will release a pre-mixed version of the shade! Her team used MAC's Cork Lip Pencil as a base and blended in a bronze shade at the lip line for depth. A touch of gloss was added  just before the models strutted their walk.

Also at Paris Fashion Week, these sultry browny-taupe eyes had models looking super sexy and seductive at Sonia Rykiel. Definitely not a day look, this half glamour half grunge look is best left for night time. However, it's a look that can be toned down for an evening wear. I love it! Makeup Artist Lucia Pieoni said “It’s a little industrial-metallic, but also glittery”.
